We
often get questions about HIPAA compliance and if we have
materials available for the private practice owner.
Though our video taped (now
on DVD) workshop 'The NEW Private Practice'
focuses on the development and expansion of a private
practice and the information is very current and useful,
we do not focus on HIPAA needs.
Each
practice is different. Some HIPAA requirements don't
even apply to cash/contract based practices. So, we
leave the development of HIPAA compliance to the business
owner. They know best what their needs are.
Many national associations including ASHA, AOTA and the
APTA provide HIPAA compliance information.
